NOTA BENE: All events and activities for the club have been suspended since twenty twenty; for those visitors curious about the past, the final status update from twenty twenty-one has been preserved for your perusal, frozen in time.

A private social club that hosted elegant, occasionally naughty gatherings in New York City from 2013 to 2020.

Events

Events ranged in scale and complexity from small intimate Gatherings held monthly for perhaps 30 people, to formal dinner parties with 24 persons seated and an expanded social after for more varied activities, to quarterly socials with more than one hundred fine folk present. Made possible only through the invaluable, long-time assistance of many accomplished collaborators, the club over the years offered four distinct formats, each with its own character.

MONTHLY GATHERINGS

The intimate, hands-on evenings where nearly a hundred parcels were assembled, addressed, and sent to members each month. (more...)

QUARTERLY SOCIALS

Sixteen decadent evenings of cocktails, conversation, and company for more than a hundred elegant gentlepeople at a time. (More...)

FORMAL DINNERS

A sophisticated four-course evening of fine dining, service, and service-centered role-play, followed by a proper after-dinner social. (More...)

MIXERS

The only fully public events, held openly in some sense at a speakeasy in the East Village; these provided an opportunity for non-members to come on their own, to meet and get to know members, mingle and get a sense of whether they might wish to spend more time together in the future.

All Events

Across all events, we communicated clear expectations during the welcoming process, invitations, and on arrival at the event, through dedicated team members who helped ensure a smooth and relaxed transition into the exciting atmosphere of the event.

DRESS: All took the occasion to dress up quite finely, as nothing brings the club’s host greater pleasure than a room of well-dressed, elegant revelers. Cocktail dresses, jackets, waistcoats, and ties were present. Well-polished wingtips or elegantly high heels were always in fine taste, and Mr. Gentleman’s own fondness for garters, holding up socks or stockings, was well known among those who knew him. He wore one of his tuxedos, as a host ought, and those who wished were encouraged to follow suit.

RSVP: We required an RSVP and asked that all confirm or decline attendance at their earliest opportunity. Members provided a name for their guest, though a chosen name was acceptable. If plans remained indefinite, and did for some time, we appreciated hearing that members were maybes.
